Welcome

FOCUS on European Art is a Phoenix-based community of art lovers with a focus on European paintings, sculpture, & decorative arts

Enjoy Art

FOCUS organizes salons, presentations and other events virtually and in person for its members and guests, inviting distinguished local, national and international scholars and curators as speakers. Join the Action

There are many opportunities to become involved in FOCUS on European Art. Our members enjoy the camaraderie of getting together with people with shared interests for curated events, and social gatherings. There is a Board of Directors led by executive officers of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer that lead the overall Board of Directors, and various Chairs responsible for leading and managing membership, events, newsletters, and support of the arts in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Stay Connected

The members of FOCUS on European Art share their diverse art interests with the rest of the group by following their favorite art museums and sharing with the membership interesting exhibitions and virtual programming to help plan trips or provide information as well as entertainment. Membership has its privileges, and we invite you to join, and be a part of a continually improving organization.
Our Mission
Celebrating art and its culture is the mission of FOCUS on European Art, a 501(c)(3) support organization.

Join the fun

In October 2024 FOCUS traveled to Washington DC for Curator-led tours at the Hirshhorn Museum, National Gallery, Freer Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of Women in the Arts, and Hillwood Museum & Gardens. Then on to Baltimore to visit the Walters Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art. We covered a lot of ground in 6 days…

What is FOCUS?

Focus on European Art is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2017 as the successor organization to Friends of European Art (FEA), a support organization of the Phoenix Art Museum. It is an independent group of art lovers who participate in multiple events per year related to European art, old masters, contemporary and items of interest influenced by European art. These events include salons, social gatherings, lectures and travel.
