Welcome

FOCUS on European Art is a Phoenix-based community of art lovers with a focus on European paintings, sculpture, & decorative arts

Enjoy Art

FOCUS organizes salons, presentations and other events virtually and in person for its members and guests, inviting distinguished local, national and international scholars and curators as speakers. See events for the kinds of events we have sponsored in the past.

Join the Action

There are many opportunities to become involved in FOCUS on European Art. Our members enjoy the camaraderie of getting together with people with shared interests. Events, membership, website management are a few of the examples of ways to serve the organization and the wider arts world. There is a Board of Directors with executive officers of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

Stay Connected

The members of FOCUS on European Art share their diverse art interests with the rest of the group by following their favorite art museums and sharing with the membership interesting exhibitions and virtual programming to help plan trips or provide information as well as entertainment. We are initiating a quarterly newsletter to ensure all our members are up to date.
Our Mission
Celebrating art and its culture is the mission of FOCUS on European Art, a 501(c)(3) support organization.

Join the fun

FOCUS traveled to San Diego for a Curator-let tour at the San Diego Museum of Art of “Monet to Matisse” from the private Bemberg Collection. Then on to Los Angeles where we visited the Getty Villa to tour “Persia: Ancient Iran and the Classical World,” the Getty Cente,r and LACMA for “Lee Alexander McQueen.”

What is FOCUS?

Focus on European Art is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2017 as the successor organization to Friends of European Art (FEA), a support organization of the Phoenix Art Museum.  It is a group of art lovers who organize multiple events per year, both in person and virtually, related to European art, including the decorative arts.  These include salons, travel, and lectures.
